Synopsis: First day of school – how will Bella and Edward respond to the amount of drama and hormonal-driven-angst that plague the halls of Forks High?

“Ready to go in, my love?” I asked cheerfully, loud enough for anyone to hear me.

Bella sighed happily against me. “Yes, Eddie-poo.” I cringed at the nickname, staring wide-eyed at her while she reached up to pinch my cheek and giggled. And then she realized I was ready to explode and her smile grew.

“Oh, come on,” she retorted. “You know you like it…” her voice trailed off as I growled deeply and raised a crooked eyebrow at her. Not even my wife would be able to get away with that one.

“Do I really like it?” I growled, ignoring the stares and the more-than-complimentary thoughts I was getting from girls and the ridiculously un-gentlemanlike ones I was getting from guys about Bella.

Bella momentarily froze with mock fear as I lunged, forgetting everyone but the gorgeous creature in front of me.
