Hanging Around With You! A Twilight Fanfic.

So this is a fic that I haven't completed but have posted, and will hopefully be updating shortly. I've decided to make some changes to my plot so far, and this will be distinctly based on Kristen Chenoweth songs. So for the most part its pretty down. xD

Synopsis: Edward Cullen was the shy, gorgeous boy next door and Bella’s ex-best friend. When singing/acting college forces them together, Edward wants to make the most of it, but Bella still hasn’t forgiven him. All Human. Drama! ExB, AxJ, EMxR [LiNk]

Edward was dating my sister. I gritted my teeth together and plunged through the pouring rain that was mingling with my angry tears.

I pounded on the door and thankfully, Alice opened it. She looked into my eyes, and then her mouth went round in a little small ‘o’ of realization.

“He didn’t,” she growled angrily.

I nodded. “May I speak to him, Alice, please?” I asked as civilly as I could, and I wasn’t even angry at her.

Alice eyed me sympathetically and nodded before gazing up the stairs with a glare that Hitler would envy. “EDWARD ANTHONY MASEN CULLEN!” she roared. “GET YOUR FREAKING BUTT DOWN HERE NOW!”

I smiled bitterly as I heard reluctant thumping coming down the stairs. If Edward thought Alice was peeved off, she had nothing on me.

“Bella!” Edward came to a stop and he straightened as his green eyes met my brown ones and they brightened. His eyes, not mine. I was too furious to greet my best friend politely. A big, goofy grin spread across his face – but vanished as soon as he took in my expression. “Bella?” he asked again hesitantly, nervous now.

“How dare you, Edward Cullen?” I hissed, more anger in my quiet words than if I had shouted.

“What?” Now he was slightly confused. Then enlightenment shined on his face. I merely watched. His face fell the next moment, and he pursed his lips. “Oh. That.”

“You call Rosalie ‘that?’” I seethed – I was getting beyond furious.

“No, no,” Edward replied quickly. At least he was making an effort. “I thought you’d understand.” He had the good grace to look upset.

“Understand what, Edward?? You FLIPPING BROKE up with MY SISTER!” I shrieked. I took another step towards him and he shrank backwards. “How could you do that? You were actually HAPPY together! Did you know that I had to convince her to try going out with you, because I told her you weren’t like other guys!” I laughed bitterly, hurt in my eyes. “But I guess you’re like all the rest, aren’t you?” I snarled. I know I was hurting him, but I couldn’t help it. He had DUMPED MY SISTER, for goodness sakes! I wasn’t about to let him out of it. I had sworn I would hunt him down and kill him if he ever hurt her, and Rosalie was now crying on the floor in my bedroom!

Sure enough, no sooner had I spoken, Edward looked at me like a wounded puppy. I snorted mentally. “It wasn’t like that!” he explained, exasperated.

I raised an eyebrow at him for him to continue.

“It was mutual,” he defended. “The spark… wasn’t there – why am I telling you this?” he snapped out loud, exasperated.

I looked at him, deeply hurt. “Because right now, Edward, a girl is sitting at home on my floor crying her heart out,” I said quietly, now too entirely hurt by him to be or do anything else. “I told you when you first started going out that if you hurt her, I would hurt you. And I keep my promises, Edward. Unlike someone I know,” I added, hurling the last bit over my shoulder as I stepped back out in the rain. “Goodbye, Cullen,” I said formally to Edward, watching his stricken face. I turned to Alice, who was looking at both of us in shock. “Feel free to call me any time, Alice. You and Emmett are always welcome at our house.”

Edward reached forward to shut the door, and I could have sworn as he closed it, he whispered, “Forget hurt, you’ve already killed me, Bella.”
